Job Overview

Our client is a Loss Adjusting firm, with a strong reputation for delivering expert advice and exceptional outcomes across commercial property claims. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Major Loss Adjuster to join their team in Sydney.

This position offers the opportunity to manage a portfolio of complex and high value commercial property claims while working alongside some of the industry’s most experienced adjusters on major and sensitive losses.

As a Major Loss Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing complex commercial property claims from initial notification through to settlement. You will conduct detailed investigations, assess policy coverage, determine cause and extent of loss, and provide strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

Key tasks of this role include:

  • Manage a portfolio of high value and complex commercial property claims from lodgement through to resolution.
  • Conduct detailed investigations to determine cause, extent of damage, liability, and policy response.
  • Analyse policy coverage and provide clear recommendations and claim determinations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for insurers, brokers, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior adjusting teams on major and sensitive losses.
  • Manage reserves, repair scopes, and claim strategies to achieve timely and effective outcomes.

What do you need?

  • Demonstrated experience in loss adjusting, ideally within commercial property claims.
  • Strong understanding of policy interpretation and the end to end claims process.
  • Excellent investigation, analytical, and report writing capabilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications and a current driver’s licence.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
