Shamrock Recruitment is partnering with a national insurance builder to appoint an experienced Estimator/Supervisor for their Queensland team. With a strong reputation for delivering high quality insurance repairs, they provide responsive, customer focused building solutions across residential and commercial environments. Their continued growth has created an opportunity for a skilled trades professional to step into a role that blends estimating, supervision and hands on technical expertise.

This position is ideal for a multi skilled tradesperson who can confidently scope,  cost and supervise insurance repair projects from initial assessment through to completion. You will prepare accurate estimates, coordinate subcontractors, oversee site works and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What will you be doing?

Key tasks of this role include:

  • Prepare accurate scopes of work and costings for insurance repair projects
  • Diagnose required repairs and determine the correct method of rectification
  • Supervise site operations to ensure safety, quality and compliance with building codes
  • Liaise with insurers, adjusters, brokers and internal teams to support smooth project delivery
  • Monitor project progress, addressing issues promptly to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

What do you need?

  • Proven experience in construction estimation and site supervision within the insurance industry
  • Trade qualified with strong carpentry, plastering or painting capability
  • QBCC licence required
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to diagnose and prioritise repair activities
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and customer service skills
